Intel SSD DC P4501 Series

Intel has added a new device to their ever growing range of solid state drive (SSD) hardware with the unveiling of the Intel SSD DC P4501 Series based on 3D NAND Flash technology.

The Intel Intros SSD DC P4501 drives will be available in 500 GB, 1 TB, 2 TB, and 4 TB capacities although Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet by Intel, as soon as information comes to light we will keep you updated as always.

The SSD DC P4501 series enterprise SSDs are available in 7 mm-thick 2.5-inch form-factor with 32 Gb/s U.2 interface, and the M.2-2280 form-factor with 32 Gb/s interface, taking advantage of the PCI-Express 3.0 x4 with the NVMe 1.2 protocol.

Intel says that the 4K random-read performance is rated at up to 360,000 IOPS, with up to 46,000 IOPS 4K random writes and the drives endurance is rated at up to 1 DWPD (random) and up to 3 DWPD (mostly sequential). Jump over to the official Intel website for full specifications.
