Before E3 starts properly on Tuesday, Sony will unveil its plans for the show at a press conference from Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium. Ars will be on hand to liveblog the event at 6pm PDT (9pm EDT; 2am Tuesday UK time) on Monday, June 12.

Last year, Sony’s E3 presentation focused almost entirely on live and pre-recorded game footage, with none of the business-focused preamble, developer prattle, or hardware-focused side stories that often characterize such press conferences. We expect a similar focus on software this time around, especially with Microsoft’s rollout of upgraded “Project Scorpio” Xbox stealing back a lot of the hardware attention from last year’s launch of the PS4 Pro and PlayStation VR headset.

As far as known games, we expect exclusive titles like Detroit: Become Human, God of War, Uncharted: Lost Legacy, Days Gone, Death Stranding, and The Last of Us: Part 2 will follow up their appearances from previous shows with new content. We expect one or two new franchises to make an appearance, too, though the rumor mill has been surprisingly tight-lipped about what those might be so far.
