Sonic and Mario Teaming Up!
Nintendo has announced that the characters from Sega’s Sonic the Hedgehog series and Nintendo’s Mario cast will team up in a game to be released later this year.
It will base itself around the 2008 Olympics having the two casts compete against each other. It is due out in late 2007 probably just in time for the Holiday season. It will definitely get fans of Sega and Nintendo ready to duke it out in one single game. It will be the first time ever that these two game franchises are in the same game. Celebrity Mii’s
A cool feature of the Nintendo Wii is the ability to create your own Mii. It’s basically a little character you are able to customize to resemble you or your friends. You then get to play with these characters in some of the Wii games like Wii Sports and Wii Play.
There’s a cool site that has posted some celebrity Mii’s that people have created. They are actually quite good and resemble their real life counterparts rather closely.
Take a look and if you have any Mii creations of your own that resemble famous faces post the pictures or links here.
MLB 2K7 Review For Xbox 360
So the start of the 2007 MLB season kicks off tomorrow evening with the St. Louis Cardinals taking on the New York Mets at Busch Stadium. With America’s past time less then 24 hours away I felt it only right to give you guys a review of the newest baseball game for the Xbox 360, MLB 2K7.
Let me start off by saying that the graphics on this game definitely are up to par with the nex-gen visual standards. Some of the faces are a little off and there can be minor slowdown at some parts but other than that the visuals are awesome. The jerseys blowing in the wind is pretty sweet. A lot of the big names have their trademark stances and gestures.
The play-by-play in MLB 2K7 stays on pace with the game for the majority of the game. There are some repeated material but not enough to get overly annoying. They also have some pretty good facts throughout the game of each players which is always a plus.
The overall presentation resembles a baseball telecast. There’s the pre-game intro with stats of the players and a match-up preview.
Online play is pretty solid. You have the ability to join leagues and tournaments with your friends or strangers online.
Controls take some getting used to. For instance the batting is used with the left control stick. You must pull it back to prepare your swing and then let it go to swing. Sounds simple but you have to get your timing down. Once that obstacle is conquered it’s fairly smooth sailing from then on out. Pitching is pretty easy to pickup and play. It’s also a nice addition having the catcher actually call the pitch placement. Makes it feel like the team you’re playing was really scouted by your managers and teams.
Franchise mode is the most solid of any baseball game out there. You are able to hire and fire any coaches, renew contracts, and scout players.
MLB 2K7 is one of the better baseball games to be released over the last few years. Whether you’re a casual baseball gamer or a hardcore gamer this will fit your needs. Definitely get out and pick this one up. It’s a great baseball experience and what better time then getting it on opening day. It’s available for both Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3.
